I have been working non-stop, and when that happens most of my cullinary efforts are not efforts at all and I end up turning to convenience foods that are definitely not worthy of a blog mention.

Yet I had one free afternoon and I made a sausage casserole.

It was quite yummy…grill some pork saussies, fry up an onion, some garlic, carrots and celery, some chopped tomatoes, some chicken stock or wine, then combine the lot and stew for 20mins. Add some green lentils for good measure. Serve with mashed potatoes.

True, not the most summery dish in the world, but oh well!
